Post It is a social network that brings locals together to find secretly known or well known spots of interest. I developed this concept webapp as lead designer and I presented the capabilities of how newer innovations could redefine the direction of App development. My time developing this project has pushed event storming, quality assurance, and execution abilities. I gained valuable insights on the balance of relationships between user needs and business needs.
Data Integration
Post It provides listings that are created from users and are verified through Post It's data management team. To create a listing, a user must provide a caption, an address, a description, and photos/videos. These listings will be sorted by distance and relevance from the user's current location. User's may share these listings through Post It's messaging service or via airport.
Research
I process my research by taking data driven approaches and user experiences. This results in an organized and prioritized schedule of each task. I aim to inform and educate teams to build a predictable, but reliable product. More importantly, pivoting the direction of development towards high scale growth.
People / Users
I interviewed users from relative communities that fit in Post It's target market. Here are two mock-ups with common opinions.
By providing a survey, I got a firm understanding of the mindset of users in the potential market. With this, we understand what marketing strategies we can execute and which techniques would provide a higher chance of success. This will provide a technical timeline and efficient budget.
Data / Platform / Quality
I provided a breakdown of how users would access Post It's listing and features. Post It's users would access the data on either web-app desktop/mobile or native mobile platforms. Each platform will offer overlapping features or deliver a limited selection of features. Here is a technical timeline.
"I like how there is a listing for all the nice places with views. It also gives me some insight to see what others have thought of the places"
"I like how you can advertise a business to nearby local customers. It gives us an idea of what's popular and what attracts locals to visit."
